Designing With an Eye on the Stars
So you’ve figured out there’s more to astrology than your sun sign. You’ve learned your big three. Maybe even your big six. You’re well on your way to gaining a deeper understanding of your personal cosmic blueprint as represented by your astrological birth chart, and you’re starting to see how all of your unique strengths, weaknesses, trials, and triumphs show up in your chart.
You’re in good company. This is a pretty standard picture of the type of client I work with: astro-curious, open to learning more, and ready to apply the techniques from this ancient, mysterious, and oft-misunderstood art in a practical way. That is to say, astrology isn’t just useful for psychological profiles. It’s a business tool, too—one that some of the greatest businesspeople and investors in history applied to their work.

Where to Start
I’ve talked quite a bit about the impact of the Midheaven on your personal brand, and I’m still confident that it’s one of the most important points in your chart to look to for guidance on how to best show up publicly, connect with your audience, and achieve notoriety.
To be clear, there’s a lot more to astrobranding—or any astrological practice—than the Midheaven. When I do readings for clients, I look at not only the tenth house of career and legacy but the first house of personal identity, the eleventh house of social media and community, and all of the houses with personal planets in them. This enables me to develop a holistic picture of who you are, so we can develop a truly unique brand that leaves no facet of your personality unaccounted for.
Basic Color Palettes
Before we dive into a full astrobranding consult, it might be helpful to familiarize yourself with the design and color palettes associated with the zodiac signs. It’s important to remember that, with exact birth charts only replicated once every 25,000 years, your natal blueprint is as original as you are.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. I take your inherent contradictions and quirks into consideration when designing a brand for you. Just look at the case study for my client Shaina which emphasizes just how deeply nuanced this process is.
That said, there are some standard associations you should probably know if you’re considering astrobranding for yourself. Each zodiac sign has its own color palette, along with symbols derived from archaic religious traditions and mythology. If you know your sun, moon, rising, and Midheaven, consider how you might wish to integrate a blend of all of these colors into your personal brand.
